SyncClick ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the SyncClick Chrome Extension. Our core principle is that we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.

2. Purpose and Functionality

SyncClick is designed for the sole purpose of synchronizing video and audio playback across multiple users in real-time. To achieve this, the extension monitors play, pause, and seek actions on the video element selected by the user.

3. Data Collection

• Personal Information: We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, email addresses, or physical locations.
• Browsing History: We do not track or store your browsing history. The extension only interacts with the specific tab where the user manually activates it.
• Video Content: We do not monitor, record, or store the content of the videos you are watching.

4. Data Transmission

When you create or join a room, a unique Invite ID is generated. This ID, along with real-time playback commands (e.g., "play at 01:25"), is transmitted through our synchronization servers to other participants in your room. This data is:

• Processed only to facilitate synchronization.
• Transient and not stored permanently on our servers.

5. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to provide to third parties.

6. Permissions Usage

We only request permissions that are essential for the extension to function:

• activeTab & scripting: To detect and control video playback on your command.
• storage: To remember your temporary Room ID and "Ready" status during a session.
• webNavigation: To maintain sync if you refresh the page.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Effective Date."
